Join us as we team up with Essex Cultural Diversity Project for a GLOBAL VILLAGE SUDBURY event, focussed on dance!
International artists Troupe De Dance are visiting from South Africa. Their dance Pantsula is a dance style that originated in the townships during the apartheid era, it’s a high energy and complicated dance and here at Global Village Troupe De Dance present their 40 minute show My Hope My Art.
Vedance return to Global Village with their traditional dance from Moldova and Romania, the dancers lead a group in Suffolk for eastern european people to maintain and preserve their cultural heritage and community.
Desi Girls hope to inspire people to dance and enjoy life beyond family and work, they are a close group of friends who dance together and create their own choreographies which celebrate the joyful Bollywood style.
Khushi Shrivastava is a young dancer who showed great talent from a young age, she teaches and performs her own original choreography and mixes classical Indian dance with hip hop and contemporary dance.
Come along and soak up the atmosphere. There will also be a large community art table activity to “Draw What You See” taking inspiration from our performers on the day – everyone is an artist – and our cafe will be open for all your refreshment needs!
