Date:

Sun 4 October 26

Time:

2pm to 7:30pm varies

Category:

Balfolk is a vibrant, inclusive French and European social dance where people of all ages gather to dance to live folk music.  Similar to a ceilidh but without a dance caller, it includes traditional dances from Brittany (e.g. Andros), couple dances (e.g. waltzes and Bourrees), and social dances such as a Circassian Circle.

We highly recommend buying the combined ticket for the workshop and the Grand Bal, but you can buy a ticket just for the workshop, or just for the Grand Bal, below.

BalFolk Basics Workshop – 2pm to 4.15pm

Curious about BalFolk? Join our friendly beginners’ workshop to discover the joy of traditional European folk dances in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. No previous dance experience or partner is needed, just bring comfortable shoes and a willingness to have fun! We’ll guide you through the basic steps and dances at an easy pace, helping you build confidence before joining the Bal!

Grand Bal – 5pm to 7.30pm

With Live music from local bands Bof! & Corbeau
