LATES AT SUDBURY ARTS CENTRE – Poetry / Spoken Word – Andy Riley, James Domestic, Lorna McKinnon, Sue Thompson

Andy Riley
Andy Riley is a very funny man.  He’s written for a whole host of beloved comedy shows, including Big Train, Smack The Pony, Armstrong and Miller, Black Books, Spitting Image, The Armando Iannucci Show, Veep, Trigger Happy TV, and Year of the Rabbit to name but a few.
He’s won not only a BAFTA, but an Emmy as well, and is the creator, author and artist of the best-selling series of Bunny Suicides cartoon books (thus far selling around one and a half million copies).
Expect stories, poems, and laughs aplenty from a man that has been involved some of the greatest comedies of the last couple of decades or so. A hilarious delight!

James Domestic
Domestic has been wowing crowds across the country throughout 2023/24 with his quirky, humorous, and often poignant observations on the minutiae of everyday life effortlessly crafted into irreverent, punk-ish poems.  He’s appeared on BBC Radio a number of times, guested on various podcasts, and even performed on BBC Breakfast telly as part of a feature on the 50th anniversary of Ceefax. With several books to his name, most published by Earth Island Books, support slots with Luke Wright and Attila The Stockbroker, and praise from highly regarded poets and musicians alike, he’s definitely on an upward trajectory!

Lorna Mackinnon
Essex wordsmith, Lorna has been making a name for herself on the local scene with her emotional but humorous poetry.

Sue Thompson
With three books about Suffolk to her name thus far, this comedic and characterful poet comes to us from Woodbridge via Southend.
