Hannah-Rose Murray: Death or Liberty “African-Americans in 19th Century Suffolk
Dr. Hannah-Rose Murray is an interdisciplinary historian researching the Black freedom struggle in the U.S. and in Britain. Her research specifically focuses on Black American activism in Britain and Ireland during the long nineteenth century.
The Society monthly face-to-face meetings are a wonderful opportunity to socialise, catch up on community and Society news and to learn something new from one of our range of fascinating speakers!
The talks take place at the Sudbury Arts Centre in the beautifully restored St Peter’s on Market Hill, starting from 7pm with entry fees for members at £5 and non-members £7 payable at the door. Everyone is very welcome to attend. A cafe/bar is available.
