This workshop is designed for anyone who is thinking of writing a novel for an adult audience.
Through illustrations, examples, tips and techniques, this workshop will take you through a. process to help you create a framework for your story and identify what you need to know and what will evolve as you write. It will include:
- Characters’ wants and needs;
- The overall story arc;
- The three act structure;
- Word counts;
- Pace;
- The importance of the first paragraph and first chapter;
- Endings;
- The first draft – ‘telling yourself the story’
